About Us
Founded by its principal William E. Jackman, Ph.D., Jackman Statistics provides a range of statistical services applicable to a variety of industries. Dr. Jackman has more than twenty years of experience doing statistical analysis and SAS and SQL programming. Services are available in English and Spanish.
Dr. Jackman's statistics education began as an undergraduate in industrial engineering / operations research (IEOR) at the University of California at Berkeley (UCB) where he specialized in operations research. Statistics is integral to operations research, with most models having probabilistic (stochastic) as well as non-probabilistic (deterministic) versions. In the MBA program at UCB, he selected the applied economics field of specialization, with an econometrics focus; his master's thesis was an econometrics model of the steel industry. In the Ph.D. program in agricultural and resource economics at Colorado State University, econometrics was one his fields of specialization.
During the past two decades, Dr. Jackman has continued to expand and enhance his statistics capabilities on an ongoing basis through educational offerings of the SAS Institute. He is a SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9: Regression and Modeling.
Dr. Jackman has also continued to expand and enhance his SAS and SQL programming skills and is a SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 and a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9.
In his other life, Dr. Jackman is an accomplished jazz pianist who performs regularly. He has recorded six CDs in the piano-bass-drums trio format and made a dance video with his late wife Lupita (www.LupitaRecords.com).
